After two years, Wadadee Cares finally celebrated its beloved Fun Day again. A day that is dedicated to having fun with all the sponsored children from the various partner projects.
Early in the morning, the volunteers gathered on the sports field to prepare sandwiches for the children. One by one, the children arrived, were divided into their groups, from lions to zebras, and first had a snack.
Then the fun began. The teams competed against each other at various stations. The children were able to prove their strength in tug-of-war, show their skills in sack racing and strengthen their teamwork in football.
The children, from young to old, had a lot of fun playing the various games. The younger children were particularly happy when two volunteers painted flowers, butterflies and hearts on their faces. Meanwhile, the older children had fun with a dance competition.
Afterwards we went on swings, played football and fired a few water pistols.
After all the fun, the children picked up their well-earned lunch and a snack bag.
This happy day was over so quickly and it was time for the children to go home. Our great helpers, whether project moms, drivers, volunteers or employees, ended the beautiful day together, satisfied and exhausted. Everyone is already looking forward to the upcoming Fun Day next year.
